Next Stop Berlin – IFTA at EFM

Independent sales agents, financiers, and producers are getting their suitcases and films ready for flight to Berlin for the European Film Market (EFM), a 9-day event which kicks off February 9 and operates in tandem with the Berlin International Film Festival.

For nearly 10 years, IFTA®, which produces the annual Santa Monica-based American Film Market® (AFM®),one of the two most important annual global events for the business of independent film, sets up a dedicated pavilion in the Martin-Gropius-Bau at EFM giving its Member companies the opportunity to exhibit under its umbrella. This service to its Members is hugely popular with space selling out within days due to the enormous savings and exhibition ease it provides versus a company taking space directly with EFM. IFTA also offers similar Umbrella Stand exhibition space at FILMART, MIPTV, and MIPCOM.

IFTA will have a large presence at the upcoming EFM with 83 of its Member companies set up to sell and network. Our contact listing of IFTA Members at EFM can be viewed and downloaded here. Titles available at EFM by IFTA Member companies can also be viewed on the association’s film database, The Film Catalogue®.

As the Hollywood and International trades begin to publish their lists of Buzz Films at EFM in advance of its kick off, we are proud that IFTA Members’ projects are being singled out by the press as the ones to watch. Following is a sampling of IFTA Member titles that are being touted for potential big business at the market:
