ABOUT THE IFTA FOUNDATION

The Foundation was established in April 2003. The Foundation's mission is to strengthen, diversify or otherwise serve the needs of the independent film and television's industry and its local and creative communities by providing educational and career opportunities to individuals who demonstrate an interest in arts and entertainment, and by supporting other meaningful programs. The Foundation's first program, the IFTA Foundation Internship Program, which places qualified individuals in both paid and for academic credit internships at Member Companies, launched in the Winter of 2004 with a successful semester of internship placements at various companies. In the future, the Foundation will be working on other important projects focused on the future of our industry, such as developing an educational curriculum, establishing a research institute and working with other programs to offer workplace training, educational programs and charitable support.
