IFTA has published the first installment of IFTA Arbitration Award Enforcement 4^th Edition, a guide for IFTA Arbitration users on how to enforce IFTA Arbitration awards in several jurisdictions.

This installment includes Hong Kong and Japan, added to the previous installment which covered North America, France, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

There are some basic guidelines and common requirements regarding enforcement of arbitration awards that apply in these jurisdictions and the information presented in the guide can be the basis of discussions with your legal counsel. Note that the lawyers who prepared the individual territory guidance are licensed in that jurisdiction and may be retained as local counsel.
