2012 AFM Concluded with Increase in Buyers and Films Screening, and Packed Conferences
The 2012 American Film Market® concluded with a 6% increase in buyers to 1,616 versus 1,523 a year ago and 35 more buying companies than 2011.
Regions with more buyers at the market included Asia (up 14%) and Latin/South America (up 17%). Individual countries with the largest increase for buying companies were Korea (up 26%) and Japan up (23%).
A total of 442 films screened over the eight days and exhibiting companies were on par with 2011.
The AFM Conferences, which launched in 2011, also attracted audiences of over 700 attendees each day.
